Historical Romance

Torn from his mother’s arms and spirited away by his nurse, Liam believes he is a true son of Scotland. Trained as a loyal soldier, he gladly serves his mentor, Laird Greysen. But Liam’s birth dictates a different destiny. He is the rightful Duke of Ravenwood, whose family perished in a fire set by Reginald Fenwick, his father’s steward. In the guise of a Scottish blacksmith, Liam returns to England, vowing to wrest control of the demesne from Fenwick.

In Ravenwood, Liam is quickly drawn into a skirmish defending Ella, a fiery-tempered daughter of a baroness. A virtual slave to her nasty aunt and uncle, the violet-eyed orphan longs to escape their abuse. Before fists fly, Fenwick interrupts and develops an interest in Ella to solve his problem—Queen Elizabeth has commanded him to marry. Ella accepts Fenwick’s offer for a marriage of convenience, unaware his true plan is to continue his hedonistic lifestyle.

Liam’s advisors urge him to ignore Ella’s plight so his identity will not be discovered prematurely.  Will Liam imperil his quest to regain control of Ravenwood to rescue the woman who has captured his heart?
