Historical Romance
Book Two of The Ravenwood Chronicles
An exceptional equestrienne, Spanish beauty Mia knows nothing about being a lady. One sunlit afternoon in the Scottish lowlands, Mia captivates Symon Kerr, who is destined to become Laird of the clan when his father dies, despite the objections of his covetous uncle and minions.
Thinking God deserted her long ago, Mia was abandoned by her father to the craven greed of her brothers. Exploited and disrespected, Mia is swept into a world she never imagined as she is introduced to life at Greysen Castle. Loathed by Symon’s mother and envied by his potential bride, Mia withers under their criticism. She is cast adrift in a sea of self-doubt, unable to believe love is a matter of choice rather than class.
When his father banished him from Greysen as a child and sent him to serve a ruthless Scottish Highlander, Symon vowed to return to Clan Kerr as a man instead of a coddled boy. A pilgrimage to Spain has dammed the fountain of rage Symon wrestles, but it threatens to burst as he is subjected to the whims of his mother, his uncle, and a capricious Prince Regent. Relentless in his pursuit to marry Mia, he vows to break down her resistance and make her Lady Greysen.
Will Mia learn to receive Symon’s unconditional love, or will her destiny be defined by the circumstances of her birth? Can Symon convince her to be his bride, or will their love be destroyed in the swirling intrigue determining who rules Greysen?
